Accessibility statement
We support people with disabilities. A website they cannot use would be a contradiction. Last reviewed September 2026.
Our commitment
Loyal Healthcare supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It would be difficult to argue we take that seriously while running a website that excludes disabled visitors — so we do not.
This site is built to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We believe it currently meets that standard, and we treat any gap as a defect to fix rather than a limitation to explain.
What we have done
- Every page has one clear heading structure, so screen reader users can navigate by heading level.
- A "skip to main content" link is the first thing keyboard users reach on every page.
- All functionality works with a keyboard alone, including the mobile menu, which traps focus, closes with Escape and returns focus where it started.
- Text and interface colours are tested against WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios by an automated check that blocks our build if any combination falls short.
- Body text starts at 18px and the page reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320px wide and up to 200% zoom.
- Every image has meaningful alternative text, and purely decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Form fields have real visible labels — never a placeholder standing in for one — and errors are announced, listed at the top of the form, and linked to the field they belong to.
- Interactive targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- Animation is minimal and switches off entirely for anyone whose system requests reduced motion.
- There are no auto-playing carousels, no auto-advancing content and no time limits.
- The referral form works fully with JavaScript disabled.
Known limitations
We would rather name these than let you discover them:
- The embedded Google Map on our contact page is a third-party component whose accessibility we do not control. Every address and phone number it shows is also given as plain text on the same page, so no information is only available inside the map.
- Documents. Where we publish PDFs in future, we will make them tagged and readable. If you find one that is not, tell us and we will send you an accessible version.
How this was tested
This site was tested with automated tooling for contrast and markup conformance, and manually for keyboard navigation and heading structure. Automated testing catches perhaps a third of real accessibility problems, which is why the next section matters more than this one.
Tell us about a barrier
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us. You do not need to know what the technical problem is or use the right terminology — "I could not get the form to work with my screen reader" is a complete and useful report.
Contact us about accessibility
We aim to respond within two business days. If something is blocking you from reaching us about services, call — we will take the information however works for you.
Alternative formats
Any information on this website is available in large print, plain text, audio or another format on request, at no cost. We also provide qualified sign language interpreters and language assistance services free of charge — see our non-discrimination notice.
Enforcement
If you are not satisfied with how we respond, you can file a civil rights complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights. Details are on our non-discrimination notice.
